The overall objective of material flow Statistics is the annual measurement of efficiency in the consumption of material resources. Analysis of material flow allows us to obtain a set of aggregate indicators of the use of natural resources, from which we can extract indicators on the productivity of resources (eco-efficiency) in relation to GDP and other economic and employment indicators, as well as intensity indicators of lifestyle materials, considering the size of the population and other demographic indicators.
