The Industrial Price Index operation (IPRI) offers a statistical measurement of the conjunctural evolution of the set of prices of the industrial products in the first step in the commercialization of products, without including taxes. Both a general index and a sector price index are disseminated, only for the Basque Country. The index is used as a basis for study and research of the most appropriate pricing policy in relation to the redistribution of sales; it is also used as a deflator in economic studies carried out on the industrial sector; it is also used for price revisions in contracting.
