The objective of the Education Account operation is to calculate the expenditure made on educational activities as a whole, the determination of final effective consumption in the sector, its means of funding and the contribution of the institutional sectors. The production of the main macro-figures of the education sector, whose sources are the operations Public education expenditure and finance statistics and Private education expenditure and finance statistics and following the principal methodologies of UNESCO, allow its impact on the economy of the Basque Country to be analysed and international comparisons to be made.
