CONSTRUCTION COSTS INDEX. JUNE 2025
Construction costs in the Basque Country rose by 0.3% in June 2025
In year-on-year terms, June 2025 compared June 2024, costs increased by 2.5%
The Construction Costs Index in the Basque Country rose by 0.3% in June 2025 in relation to the previous month, according to Eustat data. Costs increased by 2.5% compared to the same month of 2024.
Costs rose by 0.3% in Building and 0.2% in Civil Engineering. Compared to June 2024, prices increased by 2.5% in Building and 2.6% in Civil Engineering.
In relation the previous month, May 2025, costs of raw materials rose by 0.4%, while labour costs remained constant. In year-on-year terms, costs of raw materials increased by 3.3%, while labour costs rose by 0.4%.
In month-on month terms, the cost of raw materials rose by 0.4% in the Building sector and 0.3% in the Civil Engineering sector. In their year-on-year evolution, costs of raw materials in the Building sector increased by 3.2% and those in Civil Engineering rose by 3.3%.

The prices of the main raw materials used by the Construction sector that recorded the greatest year-on-year increases in June 2025 were those in the following sub sectors: Manufacture of Electrical Material and Equipment, with a rise of 9.3%; and Manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, up 4.6%. In contrast, the cost of raw materials used in the Coke Plants & Oil Refining sector fell by 10.4%.
