CONSTRUCTION COSTS INDEX. JULY 2025
Construction Costs in the Basque Country fell by 1.0% in July 2025
In year-on-year terms, July 2025 compared to July 2024, costs were up 1.2%
The Construction Costs Index in the Basque Country fell by 1.0% in July 2025 in relation to the previous month, according to Eustat data. Costs increased by 1.2% compared to the same month of 2024.
Costs fell by 1.0% in Building and 1.2% in Civil Engineering. Compared to July 2024, prices increased by 1.2% in Building and 1.3% in Civil Engineering.
In relation the previous month, June 2025, costs of raw materials fell by 1.3%, while labour costs remained constant. In year-on-year terms, costs of raw materials increased by 1.5%, while labour costs rose by 0.4%.
There was a month-on-month decrease in the cost of raw materials of 1.3% in the Building sector and 1.5% in the Civil Engineering sector. In their year-on-year evolution, costs of raw materials in the Building sector increased by 1.5% and those in Civil Engineering by 1.6%.

The prices of the main raw materials used by the Construction sector that recorded the greatest year-on-year increases in July 2025 were those in the following sub sectors: Manufacture of Electrical Material and Equipment, with a rise of 8.1%; and Manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, up 4.5%. In contrast, the cost of raw materials used in the Coke Plants & Oil Refining sector fell by 9.7%.
