The number resulting after computing the changes produced, for each classification variable, in the remaining establishments after the latest directory update. An establishment remains from one year to the next when its economic-technical structure is basically maintained, although it may have undergone a change in location (within the same municipality), in activity, in legal identity or employment.

The Resulting Total of remaining establishments may differ from zero if, as a result of the update, some establishments have changed to an activity not included in the tables (domestic service or extra-provincial bodies).
