Remuneration may consist of money, payment in kind, or a share of the company's profits. This includes labour of any kind: Owners, active self-employed persons or partners, family help be it permanent or sporadic, permanent continuous or discontinuous salaried staff and salaried temporary workers, even when there has been temporary absenteeism for any reason which does not break the labour contract such as illness, maternity leave, vacation, strikes, temporary lay-offs etc.

Employed personnel is calculated as being the equivalent in annual average work for part-time and seasonal activities and those carried out for periods less than a year as they started or ended in that year.
