Tourism GDP

Tourism GDP

Given that the total GDP of an economy is equal to the sum of the value added generated by all the productive activities (at basic prices) plus the net taxes on the products and imports, it is possible to establish rules to measure GDP generated by visitor consumption. This is the sum of the value added (at basic prices) generated in all industries in response to internal tourism consumption and the net taxes on products and imports included within this expenditure.
