Domestic or National Tourism Consumption

Domestic or National Tourism Consumption

Domestic tourism consumption is consumption made by resident visitors within their countries of reference. The final destination of the visitor could lie within or outside the country of reference, but the activity of consumption defined as domestic refers to the expenditure carried out in the country of reference. It includes goods or even services produced abroad, or not by residents, but sold in the country of reference (imported goods and services). In addition, it should be pointed out that this definition includes the portion of domestic expenditure relative to outbound tourism consumption not involving an adjustment or transfer of payments origin/destination.
