The domestic trade index is a direct indicator of the development of the trade and labour situation of the trade sector in the Autonomous Community of Euskadi, and is based on the analysis of the performance of the two variables on which information is collected: "sales" and "personnel employed". The periodicity with which the indices are obtained is quarterly in both cases and the results are presented following the Trade Sector Classifications used by Eustat in its trade sector accounts.
