Type of population attended to

Some centres are directed towards attending to specific issues within the homeless population. They are considered to be the following: ex-prisoners, drug and alcohol addiction, female victims of gender violence or human trafficking/prostitution, minors in shelters who have reached legal age, mental illness, HIV, and other issues not covered by the above categories.

A distinction is also made if the attention is specialised on the basis of gender.
