Methodological note. EIS: 4 Impacts
Impacts captures the effects of enterprises’ innovation activities and differentiates between three innovation dimensions:
4.1 Sales and employment impacts
This dimension captures the economic success of innovation in sales and employment. It includes two indicators:
4.1.1 Sales of new-to-market and new-to-enterprise innovations as % of turnover
4.1.2 Employment in innovative enterprises
4.2 Trade impacts
This dimension captures the economic success of trade due to innovation activities. It includes three indicators:
4.2.1 Exports of medium and high technology products
4.2.2 High-knowledge services exports as a % of total services exports
4.2.3 High tech imports from partners outside of the EU
4.3 Resources and labour productivity
This dimension captures improvements due to resources and labour productivity including three indicators:
4.3.1 Resource productivity
4.3.2 Production-based CO2 productivity
4.3.3 Labour productivity
