Demographic overview is an two-yearly summary exercise that analyses the evolution of the number of residents in the Basque Country and their age structure based on present and past death and birth rates and levels of migratory movements, i.e. the trends that renew and increase or reduce the population at any one time. In turn the age and gender structure of the population affects birth and death rates and if positive or negative net migration is added, we have a multi-relational system in which the factors determine the result but in turn are conditioned by it.
