International Standard Classification of Education 1997 (ISCED)

ISCED 1997 presents standard concepts, definitions and classifications. It is a framework for the compilation and presentation of national and international educational statistics and indicators. ISCED covers all organized and continuous learning opportunities provided to children, young people and adults, including those with special educational needs, regardless of the institution or entity that provides them or the way in which they are provided.
