ADVANCE QUARTERLY ECONOMIC ACCOUNTS (ACET). III/2025
The GDP of the Basque Country rose by 2.2% and employment increased by 1.4% during the third quarter of 2025
Compared to the second quarter of 2025, GDP growth stood at 0.4% and that of employment at 0.2%
During the third quarter of 2025 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Basque Country rose by 2.2% compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to estimates for the Advance quarterly accounts made by Eustat. In relation to the second quarter of the year, the GDP of the Basque Country increased by 0.4%
The relevant economic information available at the time that this Advance was prepared reveals that the year-on-year growth observed in this third quarter of the year is mainly the result of the performance of the services and construction sectors.
Employment, measured as full-time equivalent jobs, increased by 1.4% in year-on-year terms, which meant the creation of more than 13,000 jobs. In relation to the previous quarter, estimated growth was 0.2%.
On 3 December EUSTAT will publish the disaggregated estimates of GDP and employment in its Quarterly Economic Accounts for the third quarter of 2025, after incorporating the relevant information that was not available when these Advance Quarterly Accounts were prepared.
