Level of education/training

The level of education/training of a person is the highest level of studies carried out or being carried out, regardless if this level was finished or the studies are provisional or definitively incomplete.
The following levels are described:

  • Primary and less. People who cannot read or write, people who can read and write, but have not completed any type of studies, Infant education, Primary Education, whether primary studies such as General Basic Education (EGB), Primary Education or similar studies.
  • Vocational Training. Vocational Training Studies.
  • Secondary. Elementary Baccalaureate Studies and equivalent. Secondary compulsory education Studies, Higher Baccalaureate Studies or B.U.P., Baccalaureate LOGSE (ESP), Access to University and similar.
  • Medium-Higher. Technical Engineering and Specialist Studies Teacher training, Nursing and other similar at the same level.
  • Higher: Degree Studies. Higher Engineering and similar, in addition to doctorate and specialisation.

  • The categories of this variable are the same as those for qualification.
