Foundations are non-profit organisations which, by virtue of the will of their founders, have allocated their assets on a permanent basis to the realisation of general interest goals. Foundations are governed according to the will of their founders, their by-laws, and in all cases, by Law 9/2016 of 2 June, on Associations of the Basque Country. Art.2
