Connection to organisations and associations

Connection to associations and organisations is understood as meaning the respondent is a member, participates or offers voluntary help.

Membership: means being included in a list which implies at least some obligations within the organisation or association.

Participation: means collaborating in the organisation and management, outlining objectives, contributing quotas, attending meetings and similar activities.

Offering voluntary help: understood as offering one's own time, without remuneration, in order to fulfil a need or service devoted to a third party. It is a job that would be rewarded with a wage or salary if it were on the open market.
In the strict sense of the word, a volunteer involves working more than 16 hours a month, over 4 hours a week. A volunteer in the broad sense involves working at least one hour a month.
