Educational system

Educational system

Includes the student population following a course of regulated studies -although not exclusively- organised into years or levels and officially recognised as such.

Being a student does not exclude carrying out other activities - such as remunerated work. If more than one type of course of studies is followed, then the one to which most time is devoted - in terms of attendance- is recorded. Regulated studies can begin earlier than 6 years old, although the tables offered in the Data Bank give the reference age as 6 and over. This population is described with regard to the following aspects.

The education system is described in relation to the student timetable:

  • Whole day

  • Morning timetable

  • Afternoon timetable

  • Evening timetable

  • Courses in academies

  • Distance learning
