The theoretical ages for the different levels of education are:
first cycle Infant Education (0-2 years), second cycle Infant Education (3-5 years), Primary Education (6-11 years), Secondary Education (12-17 years), - E.S.O. (11-15 years), Baccalaureate (16-17 years), intermediate grade Technical Training (16-17 years ), Further Studies (18-29 years)
To calculate schooling rates by age the updated population pyramid prepared by Eustat has been used, except in the last academic year where projection data has been applied.
