Languages are taught in Official Language Schools, and are aimed at people who need to acquire or improve their skills in one or several foreign languages, or who need to obtain a certificate that attests to the level of proficiency they have obtained.
To pursue these courses, a student must be sixteen years of age in the year they are going to commence studies.
The courses are organised into three levels: Basic (1st and 2nd year), intermediate (3rd year) and advanced (4th and 5th year).
