Records patients who have been discharged from hospital, that is, following their admission to hospital, and subsequent observation and treatment, they leave the hospital due to recovery, death or other causes.
Since 2016, for reasons of comparability with Spanish and international statistics, the hospital admissions mode only takes into account admissions with a stay equal to or greater than 1 day, that is, admissions with 0 days are not counted.
Until 2015, due to distinction difficulties, hospital discharges with bed occupancy and outpatient processes (outpatient surgery, medical day hospital or others) were published jointly, since procedures that previously would have required hospital admission are currently handled within the scope of outpatients.
