Type of centre (Public outpatients' centres)

The typology of centres is as follows:

Outpatients' clinic
Centres in which general medical care, paediatric and baby care, and specialised care is provided to Social Security patients.

Medical Practices
Centres in which general medical care and paediatric and baby care is provided to Social Security patients when these specialities are available in the catchment area.

Health Centres
Centres providing healthcare according to article 2 of the Royal 137/84 of Basic Health Structures of the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs.

Casualty Service
Permanent Care Centres (PAC) which provide healthcare in the evening, during the night and on public holidays to Social Security patients.

Rural Area Centres
Centres in rural areas which provide general medical care, supplemented, in certain cases, by matrons and A.T.S.
