The level of education completed of an individual is the highest level of studies finished.
The following categories are published:
Primary and lower: Includes illiterate individuals, those who only know how to read and write and those who have finished primary education or initial education for adults.
Secondary and intermediate: includes those who have finished Compulsory Secondary Education, secondary education for adults, basic vocational training, initial professional qualification programmes, Level I Vocational Training Courses, professional and trades training courses, upper secondary education, Standardised Multifaceted Upper Secondary Education (BUP), University Orientation Course (COU), Level II Vocational Training Courses, professional training in plastic art and design, intermediate level sports education, Level II Vocational Training Courses, expert professional and trades training courses, education in official language schools, professional music and dance training.
Higher: includes individuals who have finished higher level training courses in plastic art and design, higher level sports education, Higher Level Vocational Training Courses, university education, higher level artistic education.
