Education level (Population in relation to activity)

The Education Level of a person is the highest degree of studies reached or being studied, without taking into consideration whether the studies are finished, provisional or definitively incomplete.

The levels are as follows:

  • Primary or below: includes the illiterate, persons who can only read and write and those who possess primary studies or the first stage of Basic General Education -E.G.B.

  • Secondary: includes persons who possess a level of studies equivalent to Elementary Secondary (Bachiller), Higher, Unified Secondary (B.U.P.), Technical Training or the second stage E.G.B.

  • University or Higher: includes persons who have carried out studies at University Schools, University Faculties or Higher Technical Schools.
