Child support

Child support

This is the payment the spouse without custody has to make on a monthly basis to the spouse who has custody of the children. This comes about if there are under-age children or children of legal age who are economically dependent on the parents, or if there are disabled children. This support encompasses everything that is essential for sustenance in the literal sense (food), housing, clothes and healthcare. It also includes education where this is established in favour of minors or persons of legal age who have not finished education.

Cases where there are no children come under the rubric "Not applicable".
