Tenure classification of the dwellings

This refers to the relationship that exists between the residents and the ownership of the dwelling, without reference to the land on which it is situated.
When the dwelling is classified as owned, it is understood that the owner is one of the residents of the dwelling.
Categories of this variable:

  • Dwellings under ownership

    1. Purchased dwellings under ownership, fully paid for
    2. Dwellings under ownership with mortgages
    3. Dwellings under ownership by inheritance or donation
  • Dwellings under lease

  • Another type.Dwellings under another type of tenancy classification, in usufruct, transferred free of charge or at a reduced price for another home, by a company, etc.
