Typology of holdings

The typology is a dual classification of agricultural holdings according to the:
- La orientación técnico económica
- Economic size

Both the size and type of farming shall be determined based on the standard output.

The economic size of the holding is given by the total standard output of the holding expressed in euros.

The type of farming is defined in terms of the relative contribution of the standard output of the different characteristics of that holding with respect to the total standard output of the holding. The codes for the different types of farming are set out in annex III of this document.

The classification of agricultural holdings is organised in such a way that homogeneous groups of holdings can be assembled to a greater or lower degree of aggregation and their situations can be compared.
