Irrigation on cultivated outdoor areas

Refers to the total maximum outdoor utilised agricultural area (UAA) which could be irrigated during the reference year using the equipment and quantity of water normally available on the agricultural holding.

In other words, it is the outdoor area that the farmer can potentially irrigate using the equipment and normal volume of water available, regardless of the type of equipment or irrigation method.

Areas under glass or high cover and kitchen gardens are excluded.
