Unemployed are all those people aged 16 and over who, according to the ILO criteria, during the reference week, were in the following three situations simultaneously:
a) unemployed, that is, they did not have a wage-earning job or self-employment,
b) available to work, that is, available for a wage-earning job or self-employment within two weeks following the reference week,
c) actively looking for a job during the month prior to the Sunday of the reference week. This last requirement is not necessary if they have found a job they will start within three months following the reference week.
