Contains the electoral register. It is made up of the register of electors resident in Spain and the register of absent resident electors who live abroad.

In elections to the European Parliament, the electoral register includes citizens who are nationals of the European Union and are resident in the Spanish state.

In municipal elections, the electoral register includes foreigners resident in the Spanish state who come from countries with reciprocal agreements on the subject of law on active suffrage.

The electoral register is permanent and it is updated monthly. For each election the current electoral register will be closed the first day of the month before the date of the election called.
