These contain information for payment between business agents involved in commercial transactions, just like any invoice, except they are transmitted via the internet or through other electronic means. There are two types of electronic invoices:
-Electronic invoices that allow automatic payment processing using standard formats such as EDI (e.g. EDIFACT), XML (e.g. UBL), FacturaE, etc.
- Electronic invoices that do not allow automatic processing (e.g. email with a PDF attachment).
