Means of access to Internet

Refers to the form in which access to the Internet is gained from a business. The following types are distinguished:

  • Ordinary telephone lines with a modem

  • RDSI: digital network of integrated services

  • Frame Relay: communications protocol used for connection to wide area networks (WAN)

  • Point to point: connection protocol with telephone access by MODEM, RDSI and other digital circuits that contribute to improving the security of the connection.
