This was formerly part of the education system according to the General Law on Education and Funding of the Education Reform, of 4 August 1970.

It had a clear vocational purpose and lasted three academic years (180 credits minimum), which allowed students to obtain a Diploma, a qualification in Technical Architecture and Technical Engineering.
