A job is defined as an explicit or implicit contract between an individual and a resident institutional unit, to carry out an activity in exchange for remuneration during a fixed or indefinite period of time.

The personnel who are in the following situations are not considered to be employed by the establishment:

1. Personnel at the disposition of the establishment but who are paid by another company.
2. Personnel on extended leave of absence, permanent leave, retired
3. Sales personnel who work solely on commission.
4. Individuals working from home.
5. Individuals who carry out repair or maintenance work on behalf of another company
