The following tenancy classifications are defined:
- Property: Includes dwellings in the property classification without loan or mortgage, as well as those transferred free of charge or almost free of charge.
- Mortgage: Includes dwellings under ownership with loan or mortgage.
- Lease: Includes dwellings under private, social welfare and obsolescent leases, as well as payments made by lodgers in family homes for the use of a room or rooms.
