Self-consumption

Self-consumption

Self-consumption refers to goods (mainly food) produced in the household's agricultural production, factory, or workshop, by one or more members of the household, that are consumed or given away by it during the reference period.

Meals prepared by household members in the hospitality establishment owned by the household (bars, restaurants, food houses, etc.) are considered self-consumption (as long as they are not employed as salaried workers in that establishment).
