Agricultural holding (Directory)

Agricultural holding (Directory)

A farm is a unit from a technical and economic point of view. It has only one management and carries out agricultural activities in the national territory, both as a principal activity and as a secondary activity. The farm may also provide other products and ancillary services (other than agriculture).

Since this unit is unique from a technical and economic point of view, labour and means of production (machinery, soil, installations, fertilizers, etc.) are used together. This means that if the plots of the farm are located in two or more municipalities, they cannot be very geographically distant. Management must also be unique, even if it is done by two or more people acting together.
