This characteristic classifies the population in social groups obtained from the combination of economic variables in the Census:
• profession
• professional situation
• activity branch and relation to activity.
The social groups to which it refers are:
• Higher groups: management, liberal professions,... etc.
• Intermediate professionals and employees: intermediate professions, middle managers, employees ... etc
• Craftsmen and farmers: people who work in the artisanal sector and in agriculture.
• Skilled workers: people who perform skilled work.
• Unskilled workers: people who perform unskilled work.
• Inactive and unemployed people looking for first job: The inactive population is the one that is declared directly or indirectly by registering in some administrative registry in one of the following situations on the reference date. Receiving a retirement or pre-retirement pension, widowhood or orphanage, permanent disability or disability.
