Greenhouse gas emissions per country

The greenhouse gas emissions per country give a comparison between emissions in the Basque Country and the countries of the European Union 28, as well as some of the more developed economies in the rest of the world. This takes into account total emissions per country in equivalent tonnes of CO2 and the indexes Kyoto Base Year = 100%, and year 2005 = 100%. They therefore serve both to monitor the international commitments made to reduce emissions, such as the Kyoto Protocol, or the commitments that were established in the Basque Country by the Environmental Framework Programme and the Basque Climate Change Strategy to 2050. The data from the Basque Country comes from the Greenhouse Gases Inventory and data from the other countries, both from EUROSTAT and the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) .
