This represents the direct emissions (produced within each installation) as well as those associated with the consumption of electric energy and water vapour in the different sectors. This distribution does not affect the emission levels of the Basque Country, it only represents a redistribution of the emissions among the sectors of end consumption. The sectors taken into consideration are: energy transformation, industry, transport, residential, services, agriculture and waste. The emissions values from previous years may be subject to variations due to the inclusion of new emission sources (use of solvents, treatment of urban waste waters, use of anaesthetics, etc.) or to the change/update of the calculation method. The information is presented in equivalent tonnes of CO₂, and the indexes Kyoto Base = 100% and 2005 Base = 100%.
