The statistical tables for the total emissions of greenhouse gases attributable to socioeconomic activities in the Basque Country per type of gas are presented in equivalent tonnes of CO₂, and the indexes Kyoto Base = 100% and 2005 Base = 100%. The six major greenhouse gases taken into account in the inventory are carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), nitrous oxide (N₂O) the hydrofluorocarbon family (HFCs) the perfluorocarbon family (PFCs) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆). The emissions for the Kyoto base year correspond to the total emissions of CO₂, CH₄ and N₂O in 1990, and the HFC, PFC and SF₆ emissions in 1995, all considered in equivalent tonnes of CO₂.
