Total emissions by type of gas

The statistical tables for the total emissions of greenhouse gases attributable to socioeconomic activities in the Basque Country per type of gas are presented in equivalent tonnes of CO2, and the indexes Kyoto Base = 100% and 2005 Base = 100%. The six major greenhouse gases taken into account in the inventory are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) the hydrofluorocarbon family (HFCs) the perfluorocarbon family (PFCs) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6). The emissions for the Kyoto base year correspond to the total emissions of CO2, CH4 and N2O in 1990, and the HFC, PFC and SF6 emissions in 1995, all considered in equivalent tonnes of CO2.
