A concert is defined as any show in which one or several musical compositions are performed, whether indoors or open air, that maintains a certain unity. In order to compile the statistics the following criteria have been established:

• Each act performed within the context of a festival or long-lasting event is considered to be a separate concert.
• A show in which different artists, groups or musical ensembles perform a small number of pieces is considered to be one concert.
• Concerts organised jointly between various public or private entities, in which each entity takes on an equivalent and significant level of responsibility, initiative and risk, are considered to be co-produced.
