Musical programmers

Musical programmers

Musical programmers are defined as public or private entities, based in the Basque Country, that organise professional music concerts. Among the main musical programmers are public administrative bodies (essentially city councils), festivals, music venues, concert promoters and concert halls (linked to the entertainment industry). The following criteria have been established in order to conduct the census:

  • Only musical programmers who organise a minimum of 6 concerts throughout the year will be taken into consideration. For private live music venues, due to their specific nature, the minimum requirement is 24 concerts per year.
  • All classical and modern genres of music will be taken into consideration (classical and contemporary music, rock, pop, jazz, electronica, religious music, world music, etc.).
