Urban or municipal waste is waste generated in private residences, businesses, offices and services, as well as all of that which is not classified as hazardous and that, by its nature or composition, may be included with that produced in the places or activities mentioned above.
The following is also considered urban waste:
- Waste from cleaning public highways, green areas, recreation areas and beaches.
- Dead domestic animals, as well as furniture, household items and abandoned cars.
- Waste and rubble from minor construction work and home repairs.
