Objective

Official statistics are essential for a detail understanding of the consequences of the transformations already underway. However, a correct selection of variables and indicators is important. The Level of Internet Access – Households is an indicator that provides information about the relationship between families and the Information Society.
The Internet access of the households is calculated by dividing the number of families, with at least one member between 16 and 74 years old, with access to Internet in the household by the total number of families with population between 16 and 74 years old. The indicator is based on the Information Society Survey – Families (ESIF. The survery covers the whole populations that live in “households” and excludes those that reside in collective dwellings, such as shelters, student halls of residence, hospitals,...
