Objectives
MMS give continuity to an annual series which started in 1988, and the aim is to assess the residential variations that arise in the territorial area of the Basque Country.
Thus as censuses and registers provide precise and static information with reference to a specific date, Migratory Movement Statistics, together with the Natural Movement of the Population, complete the statistics of a census nature on the movement of the population, offering data on changes of residence whose origin or destination is the municipalities of the A.C. of Euskadi, including those that take place in each of them, and incorporating additional information on other alterations in the registers: registration by default and cancellations due to duplication or unjustified inclusions.
The tables included in the publication aim to offer an overall vision of the migratory phenomenon in the A.C. of Euskadi. In addition EUSTAT is able to offer more detailed data to those users who request it, thereby offering a specific response to users' demand and interest.
