objectives

the main objective of these statistics is to annually evaluate and update anthropogenic emissions by sources of pollutants regulated by the geneva convention on long-range transboundary air pollution and the directive on national emission ceilings.

main variables to be studied

emissions of acidifying and/or eutrophying substances: sulphur oxides (so_x), ammonia (nh₃) and nitrogen oxides (no_x).

emissions of tropospheric ozone precursors: non-methane volatile organic compounds (nmvoc) and carbon monoxide(co).

emissions of particulate matter: pm, pm10 and pm2.5.

coverage

population:: anthropogenic atmospheric emissions of acidifying and eutrophying substances, tropospheric ozone precursors and particulate matter.
geographical:: significant values at the basque country level are collected.
