Objectives
The aim of Hospital Statistics is to know the current situation of the hospitals in the Autonomous Community and to bring together in one single statistical operation the different information demands originating in State and Autonomous Bodies, in such a way as to simplify the information collection in terms of time, statistical means and documents, thus reducing the work to be carried out by centres when filling in the different questionnaires.
It constitutes a fundamental source of information in order to know the Basque health sector and is a basic reference for many of the actions in the area of planning, organisation and management of the health services carried out in the Basque Country.
