The Domestic trade index operation (ICI) provides a conjunctural indicator of the evolution of sales and the number of personnel employed in the Trade sector of the Basque Country, and sub-sectors, both Wholesale Trade (commercial establishments whose main activity is Wholesale Trade) and Retail Trade (establishments whose main activity consists in the resale of goods to the final consumer and small user), according to the National Classification of Economic Activities. The Domestic trade index is calculated for the Basque Country and by province.
